GREEN EXPO

Last year's Green Expo

Saturday, March 26, 2011, 10am to 4pm

At the Family Life Center Gym at the corner of Sycamore Drive & Oak Street (1 block N of the main drag), Wofford Heights

Green Expo Exhibit booths feature complementary ‘green,’ ‘living green,’ &/or energy saving topics such as:
Recycling, Reuse, Alternative Energy, Energy saving, Sustainable building, Low-Water/Native Plant Gardening, Conserving Resources, Eating Healthy, Green investing among other Living Green & Simple Living topics. 2 local car dealers

A used car may be the greenest car you can buy.

Our Living Green mantra of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink might help us shake the urge to have a new car every couple years. Let someone else (like a rental car fleet or car leasing outfit) pay the huge initial $ depreciation a new car has. It used to be a sign that you were doing well to have a new car every couple years; now your car choice can show that you are a money-wise & environmentally sensitive driver. Grist Magazine’s Umbra Fisk’s On Hybrid Myths points out A used car, however, requires no new manufacturing impact. A used Prius would be the best of all worlds. Isabella Motors from Wofford Heights & Lake Isabella's Kern River Motors both will be at the Green Expo with high MPG used cars and a motorcycle (even better mileage).
