2011 Special Project: A green book for every KRV family

Our goal is to provide a FREE green living book for every family in the Kern Valley with an elementary school child. Living Green Festival co-chair Jenny Hanley selected the book "The New 50 Simple Things Kids Can Do to Save the Earth" based on her experience as a school teacher and parent. The purpose of Living Green in the KRV is to help us learn about living responsibly, protecting our environment and conserving resources. This will enhance the quality of our lives, helping us live healthy and within our means - which is a pretty good idea considering these challenging economic times.
